FIGURATIVELY SPEAKING - TOWN CAMP ARTISTS TELL THEIR STORIES

Exhibition opening on Saturday 22nd November 3-5pm, with the artists and art centre coordinators. Yarrenyty Arltere Artists and Tangentyere Artists represent artists from the town camps around Alice Springs, who have become known for their highly individual expressions of everyday town camp life.

Celebrating the works of Timothy Cook

This exhibition celebrates Tiwi artist Timothy Cook’s ongoing art practice in his ninth major solo show with Aboriginal & Pacific Art. In the two years since winning the prestigious Telstra Art Award, his paintings have become larger and bolder expressions of his ceremonial 'Kulama' theme. His new paintings will be on display in the gallery until 26 July 2014.
