KUNMANARA TJUPURU BURTON

It is with the heaviest of hearts that we pass on the message from Tjala Artists, Amata, of the passing of the great artist and man, Mr. Kunmanara Tjupuru Burton.

It has been a privilege for us to have known and handled the work of such an eminent artist and teacher.

Mr. Burton was not only one of the most important artists from the APY Lands, but also a mentor to the younger generations, teaching and passing on important tjurkurpa.

What an incredible legacy to have left.
